AN UGLY UBER EXPERIENCE IN FRONT OF QUEENS HALL

At about 9:00pm of this day 31st October, 2021, noise was noticed in front of Queens hall and there was a lightening that made a lot of queenites think there was a fire outbreak as some started asking for who could use a fire extinguisher. On looking outside, there was misunderstanding between two queenites and an Uber driver.
It all began as the two queenites, Yinka and Temitope ordered Uber from Waniq Event Centre at Jericho and the driver coming from Ologuneru started the trip requesting for a code that will be sent to Yinka, one of the two ladies to activate her trip. Yinka was not conscious that the driver will start the trip before getting to where they are.

On getting to Queens, the driver said to the ladies that their trip cost #2,200. The ladies said to him that he had done them wrong by charging them beyond their cost. The trip on Yinka’s app. reads #900. At this moment, the situation was no more friendly as the two ladies refused to pay the sum of #2,200. The driver said he was a student of UI 12 years ago and the ladies are prostitutes. He further claimed that the ride was meant for the only person that ordered as against the two of them that entered.
The senerio led to a big scene and Temitope eventually sent #2,000 to the driver after numerous effort of getting the account details. The driver refused to leave, he entered the hall trying to harass the ladies involved that he would not leave until he gets the #200. The porter on duty and some queenites chased him away and the gate was locked instantly. The hall PRO, Nosakhare Ijebor as instructed by one of the porters at the gate to give the driver the remaining balance of #200. It was until then the driver left and the queenites at the gate went back to their rooms discussing the matter.
