On Thursday, 16th December, 2021, Queenites left their rooms and various engagements to vote for their choice candidates at the Queen Elizabeth II Hall Junior Common Room between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The turnout for the elections was average however and this might partially be because some queenites had checked out of the hall prior to the elections day. Asides from the position of the Social Director, other offices were unopposed. Due to this, the election’s heat was channeled to the Social Director position contest. The position was keenly contested for between Adebari Oyindamola and Ugbuka Onyinye Favour and Adebari Oyindamola proved herself to be the people’s favorite by emerging as the winner of the election.
Other unopposed candidates have probably been receiving their congratulations ahead of the elections. The 8-man Queen Elizabeth II Hall executive portfolio has now been filled with new names and agenda.
The result of the election is as follows:
- Ajayi Toluwanimi Elizabeth (A.T.E): 209 – Hall Chairperson
